Biography
Jerome Jase was just another adult under his parents on the island Saint John until the tragic day that killed his parents and the explosion turning him into a teenager for life. He had travel across from the islands to the United States. He gained experiences by taking odd jobs and constantly moving. Wherever he went, he found new lessons and skills to obtain. Some of those skills would include cooking, cleaning, martial arts, construction, and even musical writing. After a series of events, he ends up crashing on the Dunn’s family car, thus beginning a new chapter in his life, living in this new town fighting off Treble’s sinister corporation.
Abilities
The lab chemicals gave Jerome some superhuman abilities. His body being a teenager is actually the result of the extreme amounts of HO12 that entered his body through his skin keeping his body full of youthful energy. He’s able to recover from injuries thanks to this. Among other chemicals, he gained the secondary set of powers, above-human strength and speed. Besides from his abilities from his “mutation”, he was already a gifted person with martial arts under his belt. He also is a talented swordfighter, but how he became so skilled in shrouded in mystery.
Role in Growing Around
On the show, he’d serve as a secondary protagonist. While the main protagonists have their plots, he’ll serve as the “action” piece of the show being a bit more edgy. His initial arc (if he gets one), would focus immediately after “Tale of a Teenager”, recovering thanks to the Dunns. He’d met and befriend them as well, as build a secret base in a lot using nothing from scrap metal, broken appliances, and stuff from a junkyard (Jerome’s a bit of a MacGyver, able to make anything with stuff lying around). He’d interact with the town and mostly hang around Linda, developing a better friendship (which some other characters would assume it as a relationship)
- In a symbolic way, he serves as a child’s fantasy of heroics and so forth. In some cases, kids sometimes desire to be teenagers due to the seemingly exciting life they live.
- If he is allowed to interact with the main protagonists, I would have to propose he’d befriend the Dunns, but rather have a closer friendship with Linda. I do feel there are a lot of opportunities for jokes and situations for them to face together.
- Lastly, I do want to stay that I also propose Jerome as a way to show some of the issues kids/teenagers go through in life, and I figured this cartoon would be perfect for that.
I'm rather pleased with the end result of this biography, not being long winded.
